Senior Saints Ministry
During COVID-19

All seniors are encouraged to join us on our Pathways to maturity in Christ through Sunday Worship, Adult Bible Fellowships, and Small Groups, whether in person or online. Currently our Senior Saints Ministry is not meeting for monthly events. Please see our typical Senior Saints ministry activities below, and plan to join us when our events return.

Kim Smith, our Senior Saints Director, has a special message for our Senior Saints during COVID-19. To receive communication from our Senior Saints ministry, please contact us at [email protected].

Senior Saints Ministry

East White Oak is blessed to have a very rich heritage in our senior adults from Bloomington, Normal and surrounding communities.

Our Seniors are seeking to be worshipers maturing in Christ. They are Rooted in Scripture, Growing in Christ, and Making Disciples. Their wisdom and faithfulness offer great and godly assets to our church body. We love our Senior SAINTS (Senior Adults in New Testament Service) and offer monthly opportunities for them to gather around a meal, hear a devotion from God’s Word, and enjoy a program as well as encouraging fellowship.

Are you wondering if you are a Senior Saint? Monthly events are open to all adults who are available to meet with us for lunch. Ages vary from 55 – 95+. We usually meet the 4th Tuesday of each month at 11:30 AM. We enjoy fellowship, food and a program at various locations around the Bloomington – Normal area.

In addition to monthly luncheons and service projects in the Bloomington – Normal area, there are a variety of other ministries available to our seniors.

CD Ministry

Sunday sermons are delivered to shut-ins in the Bloomington – Normal area .

Visitation Ministry

Visits are made by our pastoral staff to our shut-ins. Communion is available, if desired.

Card Ministry

Greeting cards are sent as an encouragement to the recipient.

Birthday Ministry

Each senior is honored as we celebrate birthdays quarterly at our gatherings.
