In general, I think that this is making us dumber rather than smarter because by offloading all the hard work to our phones, we end up not internalizing knowledge. When knowledge is not internalized, it cannot be accessed at the precise moment that it is needed…
This OakLeaf focuses on your summer!
Thoughts of summer often include vacations, projects around the house, and trips to the local pool. Most of us design our summers as a break from what more fully occupies our attention the other nine months of the year. In this edition of the OakLeaf we would like to suggest a few ways to engage in faith-nurturing activities while you may be disengaging in other ways this summer.
“Instead of feeling stir-crazy next time rain clouds keep your family indoors, embrace such days as an opportunity to dive into faith-nurturing activities with your children.”
“You are invited to visit our church library where you will find Christian books and materials selected with the purpose of helping people of all ages to grow in their Christian walk…”
“Here are a few ways that you can integrate your Christian faith into this summer’s family vacation…”
