A Taste Of Missions

Taste your way around the world with “Food Truck” stations. Join us for pizza plus the chance to taste bite-sized samples of food from different cultures. All ages are invited. Plus we’ll hear from from missionaries who are scheduled to depart next year for central Asia to reach the unreached. Missionary Guest: J.B.

J & H B are a young married couple and are headed to central Asia next year. They currently serve in a church out east and will work in theological education and evangelism once they arrive on the field.

Oscar and Anna María Campos

Oscar and Anna María serve with Christar International in Guatemala at Central American Theological Seminary. Together they have served for 39 years in evangelism, pastoral ministry, missions, leadership training in Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador, Spain, Cuba, Israel and the USA. Their ministry base for the last twenty five years has been Guatemala, multiplying their ministry among, with, and through Spanish-speaking believers to reach the world for Christ. They have three children (Becky, Sam and Sara) and five grandchildren.

R & T D

R&T are lovers of Jesus, parents of six children between the ages of 14-24, and have worked overseas for the past 22 years where they’ve been involved in outreach initiatives among the unreached. Together, they have led several teams over this period. R has worked in education, business efforts, and a little bit of everything while T has home-schooled, mastered hospitality, and supported the work in all kinds of practical and administrative ways. They love the gospel and anything that deals with seeing others come to know Jesus.

Bruce and Cindy Maurer

Bruce and Cindy began attending East White Oak in 1996, while Bruce was teaching math at Normal West.  Five years later, God called them into full-time ministry with FamilyLife in Little Rock, AR. Cindy has coordinated internal-FamilyLife events and prayer communications. Bruce has held various positions supporting the infrastructure of FamilyLife. They currently minister on the Innovative Events team that hosts the Love Like You Mean It Marriage Cruise and events benefitting stepfamilies. They have five children.

Bill and Debbie Miller

Bill and Debbie Miller met at Illinois State University through the ministry of Cru. After beginning mission work in rural Uganda, they transitioned to work with evangelism on university campuses in Argentina, where they have served since 1995. In 2008 they became part of the leadership team for a local church in Mendoza, training spiritual leaders and sending Christian workers to ministries all over the world.
